Participation in International Exhibitions
Bangkok Gems and Jewelry show is a significant event in the calendar of international gems and jewellery fairs and shows. The event is organized by Thai Gems and Jewellery Traders Association. This platform provides an excellent opportunity to the trade to interact with their counterparts and to acquaint themselves of the developments taking place in the industry affecting them directly or indirectly.
PGJDC regularly participates in Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair as Pakistan Pavilion every year. The objective is to enhance business opportunities for Pakistani gems and jewellery traders and entrepreneurs in the international markets in general and the Far Eastern market in particular, eventually increasing exports from Pakistan.
Dubai is a fast growing market and is a land which is of interest to both the eastern and the western world. Traders from around the world are attracted to it because of easy customs rules and low duty structure. Today Dubai stands out as a hub for trade of all kind.
It is the ideal forum for manufacturers, wholesalers, retailer and industry professionals at large, looking to establish business relationships in the whole region. There is lot of interest for jewellery, gemstones, pearls and diamonds in this market.
Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company has been participating in the mentioned show since 2007 and has till now established numerous business linkages in foreign market of Middle East.
This is the second time PGJDC is participating in this show. The Munich Mineral Show is Europe's largest mineral trade show and international meeting point for collectors, dealers and exhibitors worldwide. It has been organized from 47 years.
PGJDC regularly participates in this Show and establishes Pakistan Pavilion in which the Gems & Jewellery sector stakeholders from Pakistan display their products in front of the International customers. By participating in this Show PGJDC has succeeded in highlighting the Gem & Jewellery potential of Pakistan in Europe.
This fair has long been established as Asia’s biggest and one of the top three jewellery fairs in the world. Participating in this exhibition helps Pakistani exhibitors in establishing business relationships in Hong Kong and boost exports.
The Gem, Mineral and Fossil showcase at Tucson, Arizona USA is one of the biggest shows of its kind in the world. Each year thousands of exhibitors and visitors come to Tucson to take part in the show.
PGJDC also establishes Pakistan Pavilion at the Show to display the treasures and craftsmanship of Pakistan.
Turkey is one of the global jewellery leaders ranking among the top five countries, both in Gold Jewellery production and consumption as well as import and export. Istanbul Jewellery Show is held each year in Istanbul Turkey and has a great role in creating new business connections and expanding new markets to promote new products for the companies.The Show offers unique networking and business opportunities to Jewellery professionals from Eastern Europe, Asia, Russia, North Africa and Middle east.
PGJDC facilitated participation of 23 Gems and Jewellery Enterprises from Pakistan in the Show held on 16 – 19 October 2014.
PGJDC has been attending Indian International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Mumbai as a delegation every year. Participation in IIJS provides lot to learn from Indian experiences. The members of PGJDC’s delegation visit manufacturing centers, study their craftsmanship, interact with traders and visit academia. Fruitful meetings are held with high level representatives of Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India and other associations, trade bodies etc, as a result of which linkages are developed.
PGJDC invited GJEPC to lead a delegation of renowned gems & jewellery sector stakeholders from India and visit the First Pakistan International Gem & Jewellery Exhibition. Their visit yielded fruitful results and helped a great deal in establishing B2B and B2C linkages between the sector players of the two countries.
PGJDC has been taking delegations to IIJS Goa, India as well. So far the company has arranged delegations for IIJS Goa in 2007 and 2008. These visits proved to be lucrative in terms of development of linkages and strengthening of trade ties between the two countries. The areas for technological up gradation and skilled development in gems and jewellery sector were also explored. The visits also provided the delegates an opportunity to identify and develop investment opportunities on bilateral level. PGJDC plans to participate in this Show in the future as well.
