Gems and Jewellery Training and Manufacturing Center (GJTMC) Lahore is functional from April 2008.

To date, training programs like Advanced Pattern Making Techniques, Computer Aided Jewellery Designing and Manufacturing, Manual Jewellery Designing, Diamond Grading, Hallmarking, Assaying and Refining, Gemstone Identification and Grading, Stone Setting and Wax Carving are being offered at the facility. Gemstone Testing and Identification is also offered at the GJTMC whenever the training program of Gemstone Identification and Grading is underway.

Microscopic examination of gemstones is offered to the industry on regular basis. As the software for Jewellery designing is very expensive for the common worker, free practice and work facility is also provided to the industry in the computer lab of the GJTMC. We expect the computerized rapid prototyping facility to open for the industry in September 2009.

Free consultancy is also provided to the industry by technical instructors present at the GJTMC. Day to day counseling of the walk-ins is also done to help the individuals choose the right training program for themselves.

The company is also in the process of building procurement for hallmarking of precious metals and gemstone faceting section.
