October 20, 2008: Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) participated in the ICA Gem Show 2008, held in Dubai on October 13-15 2008, organized by the International Colored Gemstones Association (ICA). PGJDC is also an Associate Member of the ICA.

International Gem Show 2008 was organized for the first time by ICA in collaboration with the Gems Club – Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Dubai. PGJDC had displayed a rich variety of gemstones from Pakistan. Traders from Thailand, Sri Lanka and China took keen interest in the Pakistani gemstones displayed by PGJDC.

“Participation in this show proved to be a success in terms of establishing B2B contacts and also making ICA, DMCC and other international gemstones associations aware of PGJDC’s mandate and mission for the development of the Gems and Jewellery sector of Pakistan. The representatives of these associations were also explained about the milestones and achievements of PGJDC and future directions,” said Mr. Fawad H. Khan, CEO PGJDC
