“Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) participated in Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair in Wan Chai, Hong Kong from 23rd to 27th September 2009. PGJDC participated in the said exhibition for the first time and aims to continue its participation in coming future.

Continuing with the tradition, PGJDC organized a Pakistan pavilion in Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. Around seven companies were given a chance to exhibit under Pakistan pavilion and display their products.

Participating, in an event as prestigious as Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, introduces a glorious opportunity to the stakeholders of Gems and Jewellery industry of Pakistan in terms of exhibiting intricate Pakistani jewellery. The participating companies, along with PGJDC, had thoroughly prepared to make their first visit a success and to present Pakistani jewellery in the manner most impressive.

Hong Kong will bring a brand new market for the precious Pakistani jewellery. After some lucrative visits to Thailand, United States and Middle East, the travelling businessmen are expected to find the same zealous potential in the markets of Hong Kong as well. That aside, Hong Kong, being an international hub of business and trade, will enable the gems and jewellery trade members to establish and maintain business linkages globally.
