Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) participated in the 44th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair being organized on 15 - 19 September 2009 at Bangkok, Thailand. This was the 5th time in a row that Pakistan participated in this Show on a yearly basis.

PGDJC set up Pakistan Pavilion in which the Company set up six counters displaying gems and jewellery products from Pakistan.

As always, the objective of the participation in the 44th Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair 2009 was to enhance business opportunities for Pakistani gems and jewellery traders and entrepreneurs in the international markets in general and the Far Eastern market in particular, eventually increasing exports from Pakistan.

The Gems & Jewellery industry has been benefiting a great deal from this Fair in the past years and this year as well, the Company aims to develop maximum B2B business opportunities (both short term and long term) through its businessmen who would be representing the Company in the Pakistan Pavilion.

The variety of products under display at Pakistan Pavilion were in the range from gemstones including emerald, ruby, peridot, lapis, kunzite, tourmaline, garnet, sapphire, aquamarine, morganite, spinel, zircon, jade and other gold and studded jewellery products.
