Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) organized “The 1st Gem Bazaar” on Sunday 13th July 2008 at the proposed Gem Exchange in the heart of Namak Mandi in Peshawar.
The “Gem Bazaar” was inaugurated by Ms. Sitara Ayaz, Minister Social Welfare & Women Development and Haji Mohd Asif, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
Ms. Sitara Ayaz said, “This is a great initiative by PGJDC and it deserves a congratulations for bringing the buyers and sellers under one roof. “Gem Bazaar” has provided a lucrative opportunity and platform for the buyers and sellers of gemstones and mineral specimen. It is so encouraging to see that Pakistan being so rich in natural resources, the market has all the potential to capitalize on it. It was all evident today in the Gem Bazaar.”
