Pakistan Gems and Jewelry Development Company (PGJDC) arranged a training program on ‘Computer Aided Jewllery Designing and Manufacturing (Matrix 6)’ at its Gems & Jewelry Training and Manufacturing Centre (GJTMC) in Lahore.
The program started from 4th December 2009 and lasted for four weeks. Thirteen individuals including 3 females facilitated through this course.
The participants of this course were exposed to the latest technology in jewellery designing and manufacturing ranging from conception of an idea to production the final product. This training program was designed to equip people from the Gems & Jewellery industry who are engaged in jewellery making/designing in the form of craftsmanship and/or entrepreneurship.
Computer Aided Jewellery Designing and Manufacturing courses have been regularly conducted by PGDJC mostly in Lahore and Karachi for the skill development and technology upgradation of the Gems & Jewellery industry of Pakistan, which is one of its core initiatives for the development of the industry.
Courses of such nature are one of the ways by PGJDC to improves capacity building in the jewellery business increasing opportunities for export through state of the art designs and quality production.
