November 9, 2008: Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development company (PGJDC) organized the 3rd GEM BAZAAR at its Gem Exchange, Namak Mandi, Peshawar on Sunday 9th November 2008. The 3rd GEM BAZAAR was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Azmat Hayat Khan, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar.

November 07, 2008: Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) is organizing Seminar on “Latest Trends In Jewellery Hallmarking” on Monday 10th November 2008 at its Gems and Jewellery Training & Manufacturing Centre, Saddar, Karachi.

Training Program on Gemology at National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar.

November 04, 2008: Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) in collaboration with National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar is arranging a short course on “Gemology” in at the premises of NCEG, Peshawar. The training course will start from 4th November, 2008. The course will be conducted by Mr. Syed Ilyas Ali Shah, a gemologist of PGJDC. 20 participants have been registered for this training course. The duration of the course is 2 weeks. Short courses and training programs underline the commitment and efforts of PGJDC in developing the gems and jewellery industry of the country. Such steps taken by PGJDC are proving to be instrumental in enhancing the skills and capacity of the sector from mine to market.
