July 13, Peshawar: Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) organized “The 1st Gem Bazaar” on Sunday 13th July 2008 at the proposed Gem Exchange in the heart of Namak Mandi in Peshawar.
The “Gem Bazaar” was inaugurated by Ms. Sitara Ayaz, Minister Social Welfare & Women Development and Haji Mohd Asif, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industries.

| Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair 18 to 22 September 2007 |
Pakistan has been participating in the Bangkok Show for the last three years ; 2005 , 2006 and 2007, with positive results. In 2005 we fetched orders to the tune of $4 million and in 2006 for $10 million. In September 2007 we participated again and exceeded last years orders.

Pakistan has been attending Indian International Jewellery Show (IIJS) in the past, including last year as a delegate. This year again, we participated. However, for the first time a delegation of 36 members was led from the company’s platform of PGJDC This was a Government/ private sector effort from a single platform.
