Profile of the Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Bakhtiar Khan has to his credit the distinction of serving the Government of Pakistan, multi-national companies and private sector organizations for the last 32 years having versatility of experience both in Government and Corporate sector with major focus on development.
Before joining PGJDC he has been working with SMEDA for 12 years. During the course of his stay with SMEDA, initially he worked at SMEDA Peshawar office as sector specialist and contributed towards development of Marble & Granite sector and Gems & Jewellery Sector. Subsequently, he was assigned to work as Provincial Chief, SMEDA Balochistan. He organized the stakeholders and led the team to initiate development of potential economic sector of the province of Balochistan culminating into business development. His last assignment with SMEDA was as General Manager Policy & Planning and contributed towards implementation of SME policy, planning of SMEDA projects and research on SMEs issues and their solutions. He carries vast experience in sector development programs, dynamics of international trade, supply chain issues, international & local marketing and branding of Pakistani products etc.
Mr. Bakhtiar Khan holds Masters Degree in Geology and MBA (Gold medalist), specializes in mineral and gemstone exploration, mining, marketing, and SMEs development. He has attended numerous training courses / seminars and workshops, both inland and abroad, on SMEs development, marketing and branding and local and international trade.
